Baines Jewitt has welcomed a new senior tax professional to our well-established chartered accountancy practice.
Our Stockton-based firm has appointed Francesca Crossling from Middlesbrough as a senior tax manager.
As well as having Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) status and over two decades of expertise in the field, Francesca holds Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualifications.
Francesca started her career over twenty years ago as a trainee. Gaining a vast amount of experience via some major North East accountancy practices, she has worked her way up the career ladder by investing time and energy into her professional development.
“As well as keeping on top of new legislation and changes in tax policy, I’ve worked with both personal and corporate clients over the years to advise them on a wide range of tax planning opportunities. I’m really looking forward to bringing that experience to my new role at Baines Jewitt, which will ultimately include overseeing the tax department and looking after an expanding portfolio of clients.
“I was keen to progress my career further by joining an independent firm with opportunities to look after a team and help those around me with their personal development too.”
Although she is already highly qualified, Francesca is considering working towards a further tax qualification: a specialist professional credential offered by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) focusing on the taxation of trusts, estates, and private client wealth.
Talking of Francesca’s appointment, Don Adams, director, said: “As part of Baines Jewitt’s professional tax team, Francesca will provide a dedicated tax planning service to dozens of individuals, businesses and other organisations, including partnerships and limited companies. As well as helping our clients to maximise their tax efficiency, she will ensure that they mitigate risks and adhere to their compliance responsibilities.”
Away from the workplace, Francesca enjoys spending time with her two daughters and supporting their hobbies, as well as doing Pilates and socialising with friends.
