Huge congratulations to our senior accounting technician Jane.

Alongside her busy job at Baines Jewitt, Jane has achieved a first-class BA (Honours) Arts and Humanities (Art History and History) qualification from the Open University!

In her own words: “I fluffed my A levels at 18, so did not attend university but started work at Baines, Goldston and Jackson as a trainee Accounting Technician. Whilst I love my job at Baines Jewitt, I always felt that I had missed out on higher level education.

“After completing my AAT exams I continued to attend night school, passing several A levels and gaining City and Guilds qualifications in Embroidery, and Patchwork & Quilting. I watched my two children go through university with a desire for the opportunities and experiences that they were having, and finally plucked up the courage to give it a go. I have always had a huge interest in history and in art, so this course has really engaged my interest from day one.”
