Who needs the Olympics when we’ve got our very own sporting hero!

We would like to wish Baines Jewitt’s Tax Manager Brittany the very best of luck when she plays in the English Amateur Golf Championship this week.

One of the most prestigious events in the amateur golf calendar, the competition is being hosted jointly by Hartlepool and Seaton Carew Golf Clubs.

The English Amateur Championship has previously been won by well-known names such as Tommy Fleetwood, Danny Willett, Paul Casey and Nick Faldo in the men’s section and by Bronte Law and Felicity Johnson in the women’s.

The men and women compete separately for their own trophies, but the simultaneous staging of the events on the same courses makes it one of the amateur game’s most alluring spectacles.
