Congratulations to Claire on her 30-year work anniversary this month!
Although her original plan was to study leisure and tourism when she was younger, a serious car accident saw Claire rethink her life goals. At 17 she decided not to return to college but looked for paid employment instead.
As a result, Claire joined us as an office junior on 18 December 1995. Back then the firm was known as Baines, Goldston and Jackson and was split across several buildings.
Despite numerous changes over the years – including different company formats; new directors; a move to one central modern office location and greater use of technology – Claire always takes it in her stride to help the office run smoothly.
Now working as an administration assistant, Claire’s day-to-day activities involve reception and postal duties; scanning and filing documents; liaising with suppliers such as photocopier engineers and keeping an eye on stocks of essential items such as stationery, cleaning products and tea/coffee.
Always one to think ahead, Claire loves a list, always remembers birthdays and is great at keeping our office organised!
When she’s not at work Claire loves spending time with her family and walking her dog. Never one to put her feet up, she is also a fan of keeping fit and even bought a bike to get to work during the Covid era.
