Business event creates firm friendships

Baines Jewitt hosted a professional service firms’ event recently to encourage neighbouring businesses to ‘talk shop’ and get to know each other better.

The ‘Preston Farm Professionals Networking Breakfast’ was held at Baines Jewitt’s Falcon Court office premises, with invites extended to other professional firms in the vicinity. These included Anderson Barrowcliff, BTG Begbies, BJFM, FRP Advisory, Handelsbanken, Jacksons Law, JBC Accountants, Knights plc, Muckle LLP, NEL Fund Managers and Sanderson Weatherall.

The aim was to put faces to names and find out more about each other’s services whilst ‘unplugging’ from the usual work environment, creating connections and looking for shared business opportunities.

“Baines Jewitt relocated to its current business premises in 2023 and although we have longstanding relationships with many other local firms, this was an ideal opportunity to invite nearby businesses to our office to discuss how we can all help each other, ” explains Grace Stobbs, associate director, Baines Jewitt.

“Other professional firms have been hosting this type of event for a while, so we were delighted to share this platform with friends from nearby firms. We hope this will be one of many similar events hosted here. People often speak more freely when they are outside of the confines of their usual office environment. This can only be good for brainstorming, sharing good practice and talking face-to-face with likeminded business people, ” adds Jemma Hoggard, associate director, Baines Jewitt.
