Business networking event opens doors to firm friendships

Baines Jewitt was among three professional service firms that hosted a networking event recently to encourage neighbouring businesses to get to know each other better.

The ‘Falcon Court Social’ event – hosted by Baines Jewitt Chartered Accountants, Jacksons Law Firm and FRP Advisory – took place at the award-winning Warehouse Kitchen and Bar on Preston Farm Industrial Estate, Stockton-on-Tees, close to where all three firms are based.

“The aim was to put faces to names and find out about each other’s services in an informal, social setting. Baines Jewitt has recently relocated our business premises to Falcon Court and whilst we have longstanding relationships with local firms, we felt this was an ideal opportunity to meet other businesses, discuss any challenges and find out how we can help each other, ” explains Don Adams, director, Baines Jewitt.

“Jacksons has been hosting this type of networking event for a while, so we’re delighted to share this platform with our friends at Baines Jewitt and FRP. It is a perfect opportunity to ‘unplug’ from our desks, create connections and look for shared business opportunities,” adds Tony Wentworth, managing partner, Jacksons Law Firm.

“We hope this will be one of many similar events hosted at Falcon Court,” says Martyn Pullin, partner, FRP Advisory. “In today’s screen-based society, it is a welcome opportunity to get out and talk face-to-face with likeminded business people.”

“People often speak more freely when they are outside of the confines of their usual office environment. This can only be good news for brainstorming, sharing business ideas and productivity.  All it takes is those first few steps and some friendly faces,” adds Don Adams, director, Baines Jewitt.
