{"id":3661,"date":"2020-08-10T13:57:24","date_gmt":"2020-08-10T13:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bainesjewitt.co.uk\/blog\/?p=3661"},"modified":"2020-08-10T13:57:27","modified_gmt":"2020-08-10T13:57:27","slug":"fsb-urging-businesses-not-to-miss-out-on-emergency-covid-19-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bainesjewitt.co.uk\/blog\/fsb-urging-businesses-not-to-miss-out-on-emergency-covid-19-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"FSB urging businesses not to miss out on emergency Covid-19 funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is warning SMEs that any remaining emergency Coronavirus funding will go back to the Treasury at the end of August if it is not claimed.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the year, the Chancellor announced \u00a312 billion of funding to help support businesses through the Covid-19 pandemic, and as of the start of August, there was still around \u00a31.5 billion unclaimed.<\/p>\n<p>Lump sums of \u00a310,000, through the Small Business Grant Fund, and \u00a325,000 through the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant Fund, were intended to help businesses\u2019 cash flows during the Coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The already claimed \u00a310.8 billion has been paid out to nearly 900,000 businesses, meaning that there are nearly 80,000 eligible firms still to claim.<\/p>\n<p>The Government and Local Authorities are working together in a bid to reach these eligible businesses.
