{"id":1767,"date":"2017-03-16T14:53:49","date_gmt":"2017-03-16T14:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bainesjewitt.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1767"},"modified":"2017-03-16T14:53:49","modified_gmt":"2017-03-16T14:53:49","slug":"dont-get-delayed-easter-weekend-say-payment-experts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bainesjewitt.co.uk\/blog\/dont-get-delayed-easter-weekend-say-payment-experts\/","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t get delayed over Easter weekend, say payment experts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Experts have urged businesses to \u201cplan ahead\u201d so that payments to staff and suppliers do not get delayed over the Easter weekend.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The call, from Bacs Payment Schemes, reminds owners that Friday 14 April and Monday 17 April are classed as public holidays, and therefore do not count as payment processing days.<\/p>\n<p>For payments to arrive before the Easter weekend, it says, payments must be filed by Tuesday 11 April.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, for payments made immediately after the weekend, the latest a business can issue a payment is Wednesday 12 April.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Hutchinson, of Bacs, said: \u201cEaster is fast approaching and we don\u2019t want businesses to be caught out with important payments being delayed because payment files have not been submitted taking those bank holidays into account.
