{"id":1344,"date":"2016-06-08T10:50:08","date_gmt":"2016-06-08T10:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bainesjewitt.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1344"},"modified":"2016-06-08T10:50:08","modified_gmt":"2016-06-08T10:50:08","slug":"skills-shortage-in-nearly-every-sector-means-hiring-from-abroad-is-a-necessity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bainesjewitt.co.uk\/blog\/skills-shortage-in-nearly-every-sector-means-hiring-from-abroad-is-a-necessity\/","title":{"rendered":"Skills shortage in nearly every sector means hiring from abroad is a necessity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is a skills shortage in nearly every sector of the UK according to recruitment experts.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A monthly jobs report from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation described the situation as so bad that it was now a necessity to hire workers from abroad if the economy was to thrive.<\/p>\n<p>The engineering sector, accounting services and nursing are among those affected and the report noted that temporary workers in the hospitality and catering industries were in the highest demand.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Green, chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, said: \u201cUK businesses are now facing candidate shortages in nearly every sector of the economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom engineering firms, to catering companies, schools and hospitals, we need more people with the right skills for the jobs that are available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hospitality sector is a case in point.
