Baines Jewitt is renewing its sponsorship of a County Durham rugby club, who are continuing to go from strength-to-strength.
In May, Darlington Mowden Park R.F.C (DMP) men’s team secured promotion to National League 1 – the third tier of rugby union.
And there was more exciting news last week, when it was announced that two members of the women’s side had been selected for the England Women’s World Cup Squad.
Katy McLean and Tamara Taylor are among the 26 women who will be travelling to the tournament in France next month. England’s campaign will kick off against Samoa on August 1.
Trevor Cook, partner at Baines Jewitt Chartered Accountants, said the firm is delighted that DMP are doing so well.
“We are very proud to have supported DMP in their promotion last year and are pleased to continue the sponsorship for another two years. It’s good to get behind a local sports club that are looking to the future.”
