Baines Jewitt boosts its headcount

As one of Teesside’s largest firms of chartered accountants, we are delighted to welcome 23 year old Victoria Mason from Stockton to join our growing practice.

Victoria joins Baines Jewitt as a trainee chartered accountant and is one of a number of recent recruits selected by our Stockton-based firm, which has a long history of developing its own talent.

“I was thrilled to be offered the job at Baines Jewitt, especially as the role provides lots of relevant first-hand experience, whilst being given the opportunity to gain further qualifications. Before starting here, I completed an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification, so I am now working towards becoming a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), as part of my professional training programme.”

“As a trainee within the firm, I am assisting the accounts, audit, taxation and payroll teams to help them meet the deadlines of our diverse client base. At the same time I am also studying towards qualifications in Audit & Assurance and Financial Accounting & Reporting,” explains Victoria.”

On welcoming Victoria to the firm, Baines Jewitt director Don Adams said:

“I also joined the firm as a trainee and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1993, before being made a partner in 2002.  I therefore understand the significance of employer-supported professional training programmes.”

“Baines Jewitt has a policy of recruiting local talent and providing a supportive training and development culture, which includes paid study leave and good routes for career progression. We are therefore really pleased to welcome Victoria to our organisation.”

“Victoria is one of a number of trainee chartered accountants who have joined our firm over the last few years.  Together they will help take our company forward, whilst supporting our current period of growth, which includes a greater demand for our accountancy and business services.”
